The self cleaning tubular backwashable pressure filtration systems from WRI are low pressure filtration system (50 to 90 psi) that will separate suspended solids, oil and grease, and other common contaminates from a water or wastewater stream.
The fully automated, skid mounted, stainless steel tubular systems house filter sleeves designed by Wastewater Resources, Inc. (WRI), for specific water and wastewater applications. The basic building block of this system is the tubular filter which consists of two parts: the outer housing and a removable reusable filter element. The vessels can either be 4" or 8" in diameter, and 36" long. The filter sleeves will remove particle material down to 1-3 microns in size from the influent flow. Production flow will vary depending on the application. The filter sleeves are easily removed from the housing for washing, or replacement. The frequency of the washing or replacement depends on the application. The filter sleeves are inexpensive (generally less than seventy dollars each), durable, and reusable. They provide long term use resulting in low overall operating costs, with minimal handling and disposal problems. A variety of filter elements are available from Wastewater Resources, Inc.. Matching the correct filter element to the application is a critical step to maximize the system performance and avoid treatment train problems. |
